Ever wondered if you should be working from home?

We've been around since 1998, making easy-to-use web software (no outside client work).  Our latest project is Ask500People.

We work together remotely, getting together at least once a year for the SXSW Interactive Festival in Austin.  (Wondermill covers most of the cost).  Our work culture is open and friendly, we value work-life balance and we're looking for two vastly talented developers to join our merry little band.

Who are you?

Assumed:  You're smart, learn new things quickly, write clean code, yada yada.

The extra mile:  You're a go-getter who takes initiative and gets things done.  People can count on you.  You're always surprising everyone else by saying things like "Ok, that's done. What else can I do?"  You're set up to work from home, and you like working there.

On the technical side, we're looking for hackers in the old sense of the word.  People who love to solve puzzles and learn new things.   We don't care if you've gone to school or you taught yourself everything you know.   We're looking for people who LOVE to code and really know their stuff. 

You have several programming projects under your belt that you can point us to.

Job Specifics

• Good understanding of the Application Service Provider development model.
  
  
• Comfortable developing full-featured web applications (not sites) with PHP, MySQL and JavaScript.
  
  
• Bonus Points for MVC experience with PHP
  
  
• Ability to analyze time efficiency of code and optimize it.
  
  
• Experience developing in a Linux environment.

This is a full-time contract position.  Your day-to-day activities would entail improving existing Wondermill projects and helping to create/launch new ones when the time comes.
